Speaking exclusively to PrintWeek India, Peter Rego of Heidelberg India said,” Drupa was an excellent show for Heidelberg, both globally as well as in India.”
In the biggest ever Drupa order for Heidelberg India, it inked a deal with Parksons Packaging for two Heidelberg CX 102 presses including all the innovations which were showcased at Drupa 2016.
At the show, Heidelberg unveiled its Push-to-Stop philosophy of autonomous machine operation wherein the processes which were actively started by the operator will be handled by the press, while the operator will only interrupt the autonomously running process chain if necessary.
Rego said, “Drupa 2016 has set the tone for the next couple of years. While Offset printing gets more exciting with new technologies like Anicolor , Multi-drive and Multicolor, digital will also grow for VDP and very short runs.”
“Both offset and digital will have their own niche markets. For print firms the deciding factor is going to be the cost per sheet.”
