Chakrapani Vemula, the regional sales manager of Heidelberg, said, "There are encouraging growth trends in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The growth rate would exceed the national average growth rate if the new base year was taken into consideration."
According to Vemula, Telangana state government’s recently launched industrial policy framework will boost the industrial growth in the region.
Vemula added, “The government is being responsive to the industry needs, for both operational and policy support. Plus it is boosting entrepreneurs to apply for clearances under the Single Window System." The state has witnessed almost "zero power cuts" this summer due to a raft of initiatives by the government.
All this buoyancy and momentum is being reflected in Vijayawada-based JC Graphics's operations in Andhra Pradesh. JC Graphics opted for a new six-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster CD102 with UV coater. This is, in fact, the first of its kind Heidelberg press in Andhra Pradesh.
While, Rajahmundry-based Shree Laxmi Ganapathy has upgraded its print factory with Heidelberg’s SM 74 along with a Suprasetter CTP system. A week ago in mid-June, this unit added a Stahl T1-S2 (4 + 4) folding machine.
Additionally, Don Bosco in Guntur (south of Vijaywada) has opted for Heidelberg’s SM 74 four-colour press and a Polar N115, a high-speed cutter from Germany. The Polar N115, formats with diagonal upto 1,150mm and when dealing with larger sizes the material being cut can only be turned on the front table.
The Speedmaster SM 74 offers a level of automation, reducing the role of manual labour to minimal. "Interestingly," Vemula said, "This press is used for on-press training plus printing of commercial and missionary work.".
