The thermal eight-up platesetter, which was installed in March 2015 will offer a tech advantage for the pharma print products the firm produces.
Chakrapani Vemula, the regional sales manager at Heidelberg India, while speaking exclusively to PrintWeek India said, "Hyderabad-based Heritage Print Service and Hyderabad Security and Offset Printers (HSOP) have recently opted for Heidelberg’s Stahl folder KHC 78 and Suprasetter 106 respectively."
HSOP is a manufacturer and exporter of outserts, folding cartons and printed promotional material. With a raft of printing presses from Heidelberg, Ryobi and Komori, this pharma player, helmed by K V Reddy is backed by Vijuks.
According to Vemula, "The eight-up Suprasetter system from Heidelberg, is equipped with thermal laser technology and also has an Intelligent Diode System (IDS), which ensures protection from production failures. The CTP system will offer HSOP flexibility in terms of plate handling, plate type/format, punching, and level of automation."
The Stahl folder at Heritage Print Service, which was installed in March 2015, is a continuous-feed and buckle-plate folder with cross-fold unit, feeder and stream delivery.
Vemula feels the pharmaceutical and IT industries have provided a boost to the print economy. This positive sentiment, along with Hyderabad's strategic location in south-central India, will see a spur in investments in the coming financial year.
