Heidelberg is all set to discuss the capabilities of the new Speedmaster SX 102 during a webinar to be hosted on 28 September 2022. The webinar will unravel what the users can expect from the new perfecting press during the webinar.
According to Heidelberg, the press can do all - no matter if you need to run a perfecting or a straight printing job, the Speedmaster SX 102 is there to fulfil your needs. “Thanks to its innovative features, it will score with versatility and a lot more when it comes to flexibility of handling different materials. Whether you produce 4/4 signatures in one pass or pharmaceutical package inserts on very thin grammages - the Speedmaster SX 102 will meet all requirements.”
Like other press series from Heidelberg, the press is equipped with Intelliline, an LED system that visualises at a glance the status of all printing units at any time. “Together with the smart design solutions, good ergonomics, easy access, and an optimal overview make the operator’s work more comfortable,” said the Heidelberg press release.
The Speedmaster SX 102 is also equipped with artificial intelligence and digital assistants, which reduces manual intervention to a minimum. “The processes run automatically and with maximum efficiency. The intuitive user interface of the Speedmaster SX 102 simplifies navigation and speeds up production processes,” Heidelberg said.
There’s more. The optimal sheet guidance in the machine stabilises thin printing materials. In the delivery, the sheet guiding system with Venturi nozzles takes care of contact-free and stable sheet transport. Together with the preset dynamic sheet brake, the sheet is placed safely and perfectly aligned on the pile.
Scalable equipment components allow the perfecting press to fit individual needs. “You can also choose the format - the machine is available in the well-known 102-format, or you can opt for the new 92-format for potential savings of 20% on plate costs,” claimed Heidelberg.
Besides the machine’s scalability, Heidelberg said, its Print Site Contracts service contracts are also scalable to its customers’ needs. “The lifecycle packages contain everything required for stable printing operations and are billed monthly according to the scope of services and consumption. The subscription packages also include the benefits of a comprehensive and optimized print production system. In this case, payment is based on a fixed agreed print volume. In both cases, you will reduce your process costs and gain more time for your customers.”
