Henkel India presented ‘Leader Award’ by Frost & Sullivan
Adhesive major Henkel India won the ‘Leader Award’ under large business- corporate category at Frost & Sullivan’s Sustainability 4.0 Awards 2017.

“Achieving more by using less resources and tripling the efficiency by 2030 – that is the goal of Henkel’s Sustainability Strategy. Henkel India has been making year-on-year progress on this front. Our employees are our Sustainability Ambassadors. They also run Henkel India’s CSR initiatives, ‘Educare and Lighting Lives’, at locations close to our offices and production sites across the country. This award reflects our commitment to sustainability and will inspire us to do even better in the future,” said Shilip Kumar, president of Henkel India who also received the award during the annual India Sustainability Leadership Summit 2017 and Sustainability 4.0 Awards organized recently by Frost & Sullivan and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
This is the second consecutive year that Henkel India has won the Frost & Sullivan Sustainability award, which was instituted in 2009. It bettered its performance this year by progressing from winning the “Challengers Award” last year to being awarded the “Leaders Award” this year. The Sustainability 4.0 Awards are presented to companies in three major categories: Leaders, Challengers and Believers.
“Henkel India has improved the relationship between the created value and the environmental footprint. We are delighted to receive the “Leaders Award” under the Large Business, Corporate Category from Frost & Sullivan for Sustainability, as it confirms that we are on the right track in our journey on Sustainability,” said Bappa Bandyopadhyay, director of operations and projects-adhesives, Henkel India.
Henkel who recently announced a strong first quarter results have also signed an agreement to acquire the global Darex Packaging Technologies business from GCP Applied Technologies and an agreement to acquire the Mexican hair care company Nattura Laboratorios.
