The exhibition was organised by The Thai Packaging Association and The Thai Printing Association in partnership with Messe Dusseldorf Asia.

Henkel demonstrated the application know-how of its adhesive products as well as dispensers-applicators. According to Henkel, visitors were also enthralled with the book titled “A Book Journey”, which illustrates how Henkel adhesives are used in the bookbinding process.

The Henkel-Welbound team focusses on retrofitting PUR systems in existing bookbinding lines in India. Welbound also announced that it has developed a range of pre-melting and dispensing devices; its recent device enables the volumetric control of adhesive. The company also perfected the application systems with both open tank (roller) and slot coater (nozzle) systems, and has built machines around these systems.

Ashish Pradhan, director of Henkel Adhesives India, said, "With Henkel's global expertise andWelbound's capability to convert the know-how into machines, we are in the forefront in terms of our capabilities for reducing the complexities of PUR binding, and at the same time lowering the investment costs. We will leverage this advantage in order to increase the adoption of PUR in other parts of Asia.”

Krit Taweepansarn, sales manager for graphic arts, paper converting, wood and construction of Henkel Adhesive Technologies, said, “Henkel Thailand provides many of our adhesive products for the graphic arts industries. We would like to promote the new PUR hotmelt technology for book binding as these adhesive solutions not only increase the productivity, but also help us to reduce the cost of production in the long run.”
