The Hindu adds second Mitsubishi Diamond Spirit in Bengaluru

According to The Hindu, ‘the addition of the second modern facility at Bengaluru would help meet the rising demand for quality journalism and to fulfil an ambitious targeted growth in circulation while ensuring timely morning deliveries across this cosmopolitan city.’

The Diamond Spirit is said to handle 24 pages, all-colour, in one go, reaching speeds of up to 75,000 copies an hour.

The print from this facility also caters to other parts of Karnataka, which is served in addition from Mangaluru, Hubballi and Hyderabad.

The unit already houses a state-of- the-art Agfa computer-to- plate system that could produce up to 300 plates an hour which would support the new press as well. A new Japanese mailroom conveyor system has also been set up to increase efficiency.
