Ahmedabad-based HNCO Packaging, a new player in the block, has invested in a brand-new Canon ImagePress V800. The reason for the investment was to have a colour production press in-house. Earlier, the company used to outsource its colour printing needs.
At the helm of HNCO Packaging are three its directors — Vatsal Sharma, Manish Jain, and Arjun Monga. Sharma said, “We have different roles and responsibilities as one of us had fully taken care of the outsourcing activities in which we tied up with some print service providers with Canon machines.”
He added, “We are as old as this newly installed Canon ImagePress V800 which we have just bought from Canon India. When I say ‘a brand-new start’, it means starting an in-house printing and production without teaming up with any third party.”
A team of seven — three directors and four employees of HNCO Packaging — currently engage in printing and production of packaging solutions, comprising mono cartons, labels, stickers, among others.
Sharma said, “The Canon press is an ideal entry-level machine. Most of all, this compact digital production press has the features and capacities which impressed us in the first place as it ticks all the boxes of our requirement.”
Delivering outsized performance in compact footprint, Canon ImagePress V800 operates at the speed of 81-ppm supporting a vast range of multiple media comprising 350-gsm cover as well as envelopes, synthetic, and long sheets up to 1300-mm.
Sharing about the future plan of HNCO Packaging, Sharma said, “We are at the threshold of a new beginning as our printing and production facility is just activated with the installation of Canon ImagePress V800. We look forward to expanding our machine portfolio with more production machines, perhaps from Canon India.”
Currently, HNCO Packaging works for clients from diverse sectors and individuals from different walks of life and businesses who are in Ahmedabad and some western Indian cities. Sharma said the company is now gearing up to launch an eCommerce platform through which it will expansively serve clients at pan-India level.
