According to P Sajith, marketing director of Welbound Worldwide, "The Open House in Thiruvananthapuram will include a dialogue between the print buyers, printers and solution providers and aim to create a module for operational efficiency in finding the right solutions."
"For this, we are inviting leading book publishers, printers, binders and short-run print solution providers to join the discussions. There will be special sessions, led by specialists, on managing the print dynamics: be it managing the workflow or resources," Sajith added.
Besides the knowledge sessions, there will be a walk-through the factory, demonstration of PUR systems, paper handling equipment, inline binders, a visit to a nearby printing unit to see the Lucro.
Welbound Worldwide, India’s leading manufacturer of post-press equipment, has been organising a technology forum for Indian book printers in 2013.
The initiative has been taken by Welbound for the “advancement of the Indian book printing industry” and will be regularised into monthly customer meets at its Thiruvananthapuram factory, which Welbound intends to showcase as a “technology base in book binding”.
Christened as Welbound Book Printers’ Society (WBPS), the first such meet was hosted on 1 February 2013.
