HP is looking to spearhead the growth of printing solutions for architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) students and professionals, making in-house, large-format printing accessible to more users.

Ramon Pastor, vice president and general manager - large-format printing business, HP said, “The expanded HP Designjet portfolio helps our customers stay connected where the job takes them and allows first-time, large-format buyers to easily and affordably bring their printing needs in house. Our new line-up also addresses the demands of today’s competitive business environment, which requires AEC workers to be highly mobile, spending more than 50% of their time out of the office.”

HP’s strategy hinged on three key pillars: adding value to printed page, ensuring profitable printing for print service providers (PSPs) and graphic arts businesses; and enabling environment-friendly and sustainable printing.

Javier Larraz, director and general manager, graphics solutions business – large format printing design, HP Asia Pacific and Japan said, “AEC workgroups need printing solutions that can handle a dynamic, collaborative work flow, allowing users to easily access, share and print important design content wherever the job takes them. HP’s new large-format printing solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers around the world, providing the connectivity, flexibility and efficiency today’s businesses require.”
