HP India introduced the Latex R530, a 64-inch large-format printer, at Media Expo Mumbai 2025, marking its first appearance in the country. The compact device, showcased from 10 to 12 April at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, is designed to handle rigid and flexible materials, addressing key challenges print service providers face.
"The large-format printing industry in India is growing rapidly, but small and medium PSPs often struggle with limited space, high costs, and complex workflows," said Vitesh Sharma, country head for HP’s large-format printing business in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. "The Latex R530 simplifies rigid and flexible printing, offering high-quality results without heavy investment. It helps businesses expand sustainably while staying competitive."
To minimise downtime, the printer incorporates an intuitive touchscreen interface and automated maintenance features. Its single-phase power requirement ensures easy installation in spaces with limited electrical infrastructure. HP also launched the PrintOS production hub, a real-time platform for remote production management, enhancing efficiency.
Sustainability remains central to HP’s approach. The Latex R530 supports direct-to-rigid printing to cut waste, while its water-based inks contain recycled materials and come in returnable cartridges. “The technology builds on HP’s legacy of eco-conscious printing solutions, reinforcing its commitment to reducing environmental impact,” said Sharma.
