HP Indigo helps Hisar firm revolutionise photo printing
You might dismiss Hisar as a small town in Haryana, but a visit to Nirmala Enterprises, particularly to its photobook unit 3Gphotobook, you will be surprised. For one thing, the company was among the first to invest an HP Indigo 5600 digital press in 2012. For another, it has revolutionised photo printing, mostly wedding pictures, in the region.

“At 3Gphotobook, we are passionate about photobooks and preserving cherished memories. We are especially interested in using technology to see how the important memories of our clients can be preserved. We want to add value to the photos,” said Dinesh Bindal, director, Nirmala Enterprises.
It has been a long journey for Bindal, from making rubber tubes from rubber waste for 30 years since the age of 18 to the venturing into print business in 2012. The first machine on his shopfloor was the HP Indigo 5600. “The Indigo 5600, a seven-colour one-shot machine, delivers unmatched digital offset and photo quality, versatility, and productivity. It can seamlessly switch between jobs and media types, with a newly added ability to print on synthetics,” said Bindal.
The company churns out around 100-200 jobs per day for its walk-in customer, with a consumption of around 7000 sheets and about 150-200 paper boards. "We use the Indigo for printing lenticular images. While the majority of the jobs are wedding photobooks, we also offer photo printing services for mini books, table calendars, and wall calendars among others," he added.
According to Bindal, the company is growing at the rate of 25% year-on-year.
Apart from the brand-new Indigo, Nirmala Enterprises also has a host of Indian finishing equipment for die-cutting, paper-cutting, paper-creasing, and lamination.
