The five machines, HP Latex 370; HP Scitex 550 and FB750; HP Scitex 11000 and HP Scitex 15500, HP claims, will help the Indian print service providers (PSPs) specialising in the sign and visual communications to deliver results faster and at a lower total cost.
“PSPs and converters are challenged to do more applications and keep the productivity high, while reducing costs and working with limited space,” said Jeff de Kleijn, director and general manager, graphics solutions business – sign and display, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “Backed by HP Latex and Scitex technologies, the new printers address demanding PSP needs for lowering operational costs, increasing workflow efficiencies and broadening application versatility to drive profitable growth.”
The HP Scitex FB550 and HP Scitex FB750 now offer a new tabletop roll holder design with capability of printing on virtually any rigid or flexible media (up to 2.5inch).
The HP Scitex 15500 corrugated press is a new digital printing solution for production of displays, on-the-shelf packaging and other short-run corrugated applications. It uses HP’s HP High Definition Range (HDR) 230 Scitex Inks designed for paper board applications and media handling system that can print on warped boards.
HP are yet to announce exactly when the presses will be available worldwide.
