The Global 5 Technologiess stand, one of the representatives of HP, had healthy footfalls, during the three days Media Expo 2016 in Mumbai.
Santosh Sharma proprietor at Kashish Ads, who had finalised on the new Latex 3100 at the show, said, “We are using Latex series for the past four years. I am very satisfied with the Latex series because the colour gamut and the depth in the printing are good. The Latex 3100 will be installed in the next 10 days at my facility in Nagpur.”
Talking about the show, Global5’s director, Prashant Khomne said, “It has been a fabulous show for us, we have closed 20 machines by the end of day two for the whole Latex series. The big machine has three purchases.”
HP at the Global5 booth had created the application stations, showcasing applications printed on HP Latex printers. This included wall art, vehicle wraps, backlit graphics, point-of-sale displays, roll-up banners, applications printed on reflective media and other indoor and retail applications on vivid colours.
Winnie Kwok, regional category manager, HP larger format production and industrial graphic solutions business, Asia Pacific and Japan at HP Inc., said, “In signage and the digital segment there is always competition and I see the Latex go beyond sign and display industry. The market is evolving for Latex and about 60% of the market share is owned by HP in 3.2 m roll-to-roll segment in the sign and digital category and overall about 3.8 billion sq/ft printing has been done with HP Latex series.”
The Latex 3100 can produce 180sqm/hr in two-pass billboard mode down to 27sqm/hr in 18-pass backlit mode and can handle rolls up to 160kg. HP Latex 3100 has a printing indoor quality at the speed up to 77 m2/hr and the printer comes compatible with the HP Latex mobile application.
