HP Latex 360 helps Delhi's Rana Advertising save production time

Delhi-based Rana Advertising, a professionally managed outdoor advertising and graphics company, which blends in its folds creativity in indoor and outdoor branding, retail display and signage solutions, has recently installed a HP Latex 360 wide-format printer.

“We have large number of qualities and large variety of signage systems. No matter what the application, we can find the perfect sign to match colour and design requirements,” said Arun Prakash Rana, proprietor, Rana Advertising. 

Explaining why he decided to invest in the HP Latex 360, Rana said, “We felt the need of a system upgradation in terms of speed and quality and technological advancement to tackle the problem of high time consumption for bulk production.” 

Ideal for handling urgent jobs, the HP Latex 360 printer produces indoor and outdoor prints on a variety of traditional signage substrates, including textiles. Its quality, durable prints provide scratch resistance comparable to hard solvent inks. The higher volume, 64-inches HP Latex 360 prints up to 978 sq/ft per hour and increases application versatility with an ink collector for porous textiles. It also features automatic front-to-back registration for printing double-sided banners.

Other than the HP Latex 360, the company also houses the machines from VUTEk and Mutoh.

The company has a manpower of around 300 employees, out of which 15 are technical staff, 20 are in managerial role, ten people look after sales services, 15 are on supervision and rest are labours.

The company produces 2,50,000 units of signage per year with 50,000 sq/ft per day print production. “We are looking at a growth rate of 20% after the investment in HP Latex 360. The machine is giving us good ROI,” Rana said.

Talking about future growth, Rana said the company is planning to install more machines at their Kundli-based sister concern Concept and Solution Metfab company. An initiative of the Rana Advertising started in 2012, it is fully dedicated to visual merchandising solution plus one stop solution for in-house fabrication.

According to Rana, the growing sector in this segment is retail consumer durables and FMCG. And the future in this segment is of UV-based printer because of the variety of substrate it supports.
