Comprising of Latex 560 and 570, this series according to HP, helps the customers meet the highest of environmental standards.
The company also felicitated six best brands from Kerala for demonstrating innovative usage of latex printing.

The show saw top brands, agencies and media partners demonstrate their success in addressing the flex printing ban in Kerala by using HP’s latest Latex technologies.

The wide-format press is said to print on a broad range of coated and uncoated media including PVC banners, self-adhesive vinyl, PET films, wall coverings, paper and textiles. According to HP, their own HDPE reinforced banner materials is completely recyclable and an alternative to PVC scrim banner material.

“It’s heartening to see our customers and partners come out in support of a cause that impacts the industry and all of us at multiple levels – the environmental condition. We started a dialogue in Kerala three years ago, and what we witnessed at the event showcases how the industry is collectively adapting to market needs, by addressing the flex printing ban and adopting new age environment friendly technologies with our Latex series,.” said Puneet Chadha, director, market development, graphics solutions business, HP Asia Pacific and Japan.

More than 200 media manufacturers and more than 600 different media have been certified for the Latex printers. These printers use water–based latex inks and HP says this helps in the development of an overall healthy production environment and ecosystem for these industries.

“We did not just see participation, but also on-spot conversion of deals which speaks volumes about the far-standing benefits of the Latex printers, also well-showcased by our customers at the event,” he added.

The roadshow also witnessed participation from a number of HP’s customers, who showcased their applications printed on HP printers. The roadshow also provided a platform to the brand managers to discuss their challenges and evolving needs with respect to reaching out to their end customers.

The event culminated with an award ceremony felicitating customers in the best ‘adoption of green printing technologies’ category. The winners included Vastra Enterprises, Plant Lipids, Francis Alukkas, Gonexa Mattress and Stark Communications.
