HP launches web-connected series of Designjet
Targeting the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry professionals, HP has introduced web-connected, entry-level wide format printing solutions.

Delivering large-format printing through the cloud from virtually anywhere, the new HP Designjet T120 and T520 ePrinter series provide on-the-go professionals with simple printing solutions. During the launch function held in New Delhi, HP also announced the second generation of its free web service for AEC professionals, HP Designjet ePrint and Share, which makes it easy to access and print large-format documents using an iOS or Android tablet or smartphone, a laptop or ePrinter touchscreen.
The new Designjet ePrinters are available in sizes of 24, 36 and 44 inches, and can throughput 70 A1 prints in an hour in 2400dpi resolution.
"AEC workgroups need printing solutions that can handle a dynamic, collaborative work flow, allowing users to easily access, share and print important design content. HP’s new large-format printing solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers around the world, providing the connectivity, flexibility and efficiency today’s businesses require,” said Javier Larraz, director and general manager, HP Asia Pacific and Japan.
“The compounding complexity in the work environment with growth of mobile devices and the use of cloud services is surging. Today, information workers must be equipped with smarter solutions that would result in sharing and creating information anywhere and anytime on any device," said Mahesh Soni, country manager, design- HP India. "They need a solution that enables them to collaborate and interact with their peers beyond the internal and external peripheries”
He further added that, “ With these new set of printing techniques, our customers can focus on boosting collaboration, extending infrastructure so employees can be just as productive on tablets and smartphones as they are on laptops, and investing to make their business secure in an increasingly digital and complex environment. Additionally, this new launch of printers opens new market for HP to grow, as we aim to tap the technical professionals as young and want to liberate them with the ownership of a professional range of printer as they acquire technical skills. ”
