According to HP, the Z series will enable print service providers (PSPs), retailers, and creatives to deliver photos, impactful graphics and technical applications using the machine. According to the report by Infotrend, the market for large photo merchandising grew seven percent in 2017 with nearly 1.3 trillion photos taken in the same year. Hence there is an increased demand for simplicity and high photo quality, fuelling the need for printing solutions that remove bottlenecks and increase time savings.
Michael Boyle, vice president and general manager, Graphics Solutions Business, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP, said, “The new DesignJet Z Printer series enhances the customer experience and reinvents printing possibilities for both professional photo and signage to ignite business growth and adapt to future needs. We thoughtfully designed the new printers to deliver impressive photo quality without compromising time resources and output speeds with the new vertical trimmer and innovative colour technologies.”
The HP Latex R2000 printer, which was announced at the ISA Sign Expo in March, was officially launched at the Dscoop in Seoul.
Boyle said, “Anyone who tracks this industry knows today is a major milestone in printing as we unveil the HP Latex R2000 Printer. HP developed this breakthrough technology based on print service providers (PSPs) continued request for an HP Latex printer to print on both rigid and flexible materials using our water-based inks. This introduction is another step forward in how HP creates the best experiences for our customers, continually reinventing the possibilities of print.”
With the R2000, HP introduced the Latex white ink for its printers. Applications such as retail, outdoor signage, window graphics, events and exhibitions, decoration and car wrapping can now be catered to with the machine.
The DesignJet Z series and Latex R2000 will be available in the India market from the third quarter of 2018.
