Atit Bhatia, senior vice-president, Hindustan Tin Works, said, “We are a company that supports growth through long-term partnerships with major multinational brand owners and can makers across the world, with exports revenue currently corresponding to about 33% of our manufacturing sales.”
With this landmark achievement, HTW is now positioning itself as a leading global end manufacturer for the world. Bhatia said, “Our can-ends are being exported to countries like USA, Australia, France, Italy, Netherlands, Malaysia, China, Africa, UAE, South America etc. We have ambitious plans to grow our end manufacturing division in the years to come.”
The company credits its accomplishment to the approved status it has been able to achieve by meeting the stringent quality requirements of major global brand owners like Nestle, Nutricia, Heinz, Abbott, and Reckitt Benckiser among others, and the low cost manufacturing base which India offers.
The company has been accredited as a Star Exporter by Government of India for exporting one billion ends of the total tally of four billion that is manufactured in India.
Among other achievements, HTW has been recently awarded Can of the Year Award 2013 for a three-piece food can for Rajnigandha and general line for Horlicks Pro Mind can with slip lid.
