The firm was founded by Hanamantsa Bakale and started their business with a single-colour Indian machine. Bakale said, “There is an increased demand for improved print quality and value additions like spot UV, print on textured papers and also speciality packing materials. Also, people are looking for quality outputs at reasonable prices.” He added, “To meet these demands, one needs to be abreast with the technology and thus continuously upgraded oneself.”
The firm now has two Komori four-colour machine, violet CTP from TechNova, programmable cutting machines and complete post-press facility. The firm has fixed service engineers for machine's service from time to time.
In Hubli, there is an increased demand for both offset and digital printing, but unfortunately the printers are unable to get the right price for their service due to the cut-throat price competition. Bakale said, “In our organisation we strictly follow the ethics of business and never compromise on our pricing. At the same time we sincerely put our effort to give the best service to our valuable customers.”
Bakale further added, “Compared to other nearby cities, we are lucky to be still making healthy profits for our jobs. But unfortunately other print firms are slowly decreasing the rates in spite of all increasing input costs.”
Hubli’s print association is currently small and efforts are on to strengthen the association and enable the members to extract benefits of being a part of it. The association aims to target problems such as the prevalent price war and labour problem in the city.
