Hyderabad-based Sri Bhagya Laxmi Printers invests in Xerox 1000 to raft of digital presses
Sri Bhagya Laxmi Printers, the Hyderabad-based digital printing firm, has recently installed a Xerox Color 1000 digital press and thereby scaled-up its digital print production capacity.

The digital print firm, which was established in 1990 as a photo copying shop, has grown and evolved to become a printing firm that specialises in brochures, catalogues and other such commercial printing jobs for corporate houses and advertisement agencies.
Durga Prasad, chief executive officer, Sri Bhagya Laxmi Printers, said, “The market trend is such that the print runs are getting shorter. The short-run jobs have increased the demand of digital print. Hence, it was a necessary for us to add an equipment to our existing facility.”
The digital press swung into action on 31 March 2012 and has fired five lakh A3 size prints since then. Prasad said, “The Xerox 1000 Press with its fifth colour dry ink toner delivers print at 2,400x2,400 dpi and speed of 6,000 impressions per hour. The Xerox 1000 has bolstered our capability to cater to the digital market.”

Besides Xerox 1000, the digital print firm houses a raft of machines including a Xerox 5000, Konica Minolta bizhub C280, Xerox DocuColor 252 and HP 5500. Sri Bhagya Laxmi Printers operate from two locations, one in Secunderabad and other in Madhapur; each covering an area of 6,000 sq/ft.
