IDC’s Design and Degree show 2018 on 23-24 June
Industrial Design Centre (IDC) will be hosting the Design & Degree show, an annual showcase of design projects, at IIT Bombay campus on 23-24 June 2018.

IDC is a design school situated at IIT Bombay. With a focus on human-centred design, the IDC offers a masters degree in design in five disciplines – animation, communication design, industrial design, interaction design, and mobility and vehicle design.
The projects showcased at this event are made by the graduating students of IDC.
According to Prof GV Sreekumar, head at IDC School of Design, the previous edition of the show held last year, was a success. “It saw 20 designers from IDC display their projects.” He added, “Few of the solutions provided during the show were metro-specific – ranging from digital Dharavi mobile application to those designed for rural areas, like coiling tools for bamboo craftsmen, or a visual guide for expectant mothers.”
The event will begin at 10am on 23 June. During the course of the two days professors of from IDC as well as those from IIT, Hyderabad will address the audience.
Prof Sreekumar will deliver the welcome address while Prof Devang Khakhar, director at IIT Bombay, will deliver the keynote address during the opening ceremony.
Prof Udayakumar, Sourabh Srivastava, Anoop Patnaik, Anant Gawde, Devina Kothari will make presentations on the day-one of the event, while Deepak John Mathew of IIT Hyderabad, Harshwardhan Kadam, Baiju Parthan, Anil Gupta, Abhishek Verma are among the few speakers on day-two.
