IIP announces its next edtion of IndPack and a national conference
Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) has announced that its two-day National Conference on Global Trends in Packaging of Food Pharmaceutical and Bulk Drugs will be held in Hyderabad on 26-27 July 2013.

Speaking to PrintWeek India during the show where IIP's Hyderabad centre was present, Shekhar Amberkar, assistant director- administration and exhibition at IIP, said, “The processed food industry is projected to grow. Pharmaceutical industry is already projected as the fourth largest market. Bulk drugs and dangerous chemicals, which are exported from our country to the various part of the globe is also expected to grow. With the growing competition and changing dynamics of presentation of the product packs, packaging has an even greater and more contributory role to play. This conference aims to provide an insight into the recent developments in the field of packaging of food, pharmaceutical and bulk drugs.”
Meanwhile, IIP also announced its 16th edition of IndPack, a national packaging exhibition targeting the local manufacturers. This will be held at Pragati Maidan New Delhi from 16-18 January 2014.
Amberkar said, “Our aim is to cover the entire country. We received requests from the northern region for the need of such an exhibition and hence it was Delhi decided as the venue. IndPack gives local manufacturers a platform to showcase their technology.”
Along with IndPack, IIP will also host a two-day national conference on Consumer Packaging - Challenges and Opportunity from 17-18 January 2014.
IIP recently announced its new regional head for IIP Hyderabad. Madhab Chakraborty will be the joint director and regional head for the Hyderabad centre.
