The event took place in Thane near Mumbai, where Riso showcased the digital duplicator with master technology. This product demonstration by Riso was attended by well over 120 print firms.

Sameer Gupte, president and founder of IMPACT, said, “It was my idea to introduce new trends and technology to the printers of Thane. When Sachin Thorbole approached IMPACT with his Riso product, we realised that this technology is something that the printers should be more aware of. The mini-offset industry is always plagued by a number of labour issues, at such times, automation and technological upgradation can help the printers maintain their work and production flow.”

The guest of honor for the event was Jignesh Lapasia, publisher and editor, ScreenTex, the magazine specially focusing on the screen printing industry and which supported the event.

Addressing the audience, Lapasia, said, “ScreenTex has always believed and supported all activities that bring together the industry, imparts knowledge or works towards creating a brand India in the global print scenario. We are glad that we were part of this initiative by IMPACT. In fact, we believe that to bridge the gap of knowledge that exists in various tiers of the print industry, such seminars should be organised at least once in every two months.”

During the event, Unicom Infotel offered special rates for the Riso digital duplicator. In response to the special offer, the company secured two spot bookings from S H Enterprises, a screen printer and Trimurty Printers, an offset printer.

IMPACT has conducted 13 events in last couple of years and has more than 150 registered members.

During the event, IMPACT also announced its future events.

Gupte concluded, “There are several events that are lined-up. This include visit to TechNova’s plate-manufacturing factory. The visit to the TechNova plant will be conducted in mid-June.”
