India’s digital print specialist buck trends, opts for Manroland sheetfed press

A day after Belgian company Hecht Printing Solutions has ordered its second Roland 900 XXL, India-based Hira Print Solutions signed a deal for installation of a six-colour Roland 706 HiPrint with an inline coater for their new printing facility in Mumbai.

In the process, the digital print specialist has bucked the trend of offset players diversifying into digital.

“Demand for offset printing and packaging jobs from our clients drove us into taking this giant leap. We have been providing digital services to our clients, but by providing long-run services, we will be cementing our relations with our customers and confidence further,” said Praveen Patel, director of Hira Print Solutions.

Hira Print Solutions’ new plant will cater to high quality commercial and packaging print market with products such as catalogues, brochures and magazines. This is the first sale announced by Manroland India at Drupa 2012.

The Roland 706 HiPrint kit features PPL, Manroland’s automated plate change and fast makeready features such as QuickChange options.

“We have been delivering quality digital prints and we cannot afford to compromise on quality. Manroland is a proven technology so it was our product choice for our new commercial and packaging venture,” said Patel.
