India bags 24 awards in SGIA Competition
India has bagged as many as 24 awards in the just concluded SGIA Golden Award Competition in USA.
Out of these, 23 awards were won by three leading Indian printing companies and one by a Pune-based Engineering and printing technology institute.

Vasai based Classic Stripes has won eight awards, PRS Permacel – eight and Spectrum Scan won seven awards. This fete is achieved by these companies nearly after a month of bagging several awards in the national competition - SPAI-FESPA Awards in Goa.

Interestingly Pune-based PVG'S College of Engg & Tech, has one award (Gold), thereby competing with global print stalwarts. The students have proved their industry-grade capabilities in screen printing. Let’s congratulate the students and their guiding faculty, Prof Laxmi Sapkal for the commendable success in an international competition. It’s a remarkable achievement.

According to the SGIA official release, the entries were evaluated and judged during the SGIA Expo (10-12 October 2017) at New Orleans, USA. The top winners were honoured with SGIA's People's Choice Award, Best of Show-Garment, Best of Show-Graphic, Best of Show-Digital, and Best in Show-Digital Creativity.

“The annual competition celebrates industry-leading excellence and covers almost every item, no matter how complex, created by specialty imaging. Hundreds of entries were evaluated by an elite team of imaging professionals, who awarded gold, silver and bronze ribbons to the best prints,” the release said.
