India Design Forum targets 1000 delegates in Mumbai
India Design Forum 2013, the second edition of the show will be held on 15-16 March at the NCPA; and is expected to have 1,000 delegates in the audience. Along with other trends, the Forum will present experts who will examine how "print informs and affects our everyday lives".

The India Design Forum 2013 features two days of talks and workshops by highly acclaimed design experts from around India and the rest of the world. It will feature over 20 speakers and leading experts from multiple design disciplines. The speakers will examine how designs inform the "world and change our lives, every day". Some of the topics that will be touched are product and industrial design, urbanisation, sustainable architecture, innovation and technology, investing in design education, good design is good business, fashion and luxury.
The speaker list includes Thomas Heatherwick, Anouska Hempel, Ross Lovegrove, Deyan Sudjic, Rahul Mehrotra, Droog Renny Ramakers, Nipa Doshi, Abanti Sankaranarayan and Jonathan Levien. The forum will also feature the IDF Happy Hrs, a special capsule being introduced for the first time wherein 10 young Indian designers will present a talk of six minutes each in an attempt to promote new talent.
Brainchild of the Coimbatore Centre for Contemporary Art (COCCA), the first edition of the Indian Design Forum was hosted in New Delhi.
