IndiaCorr 2019: Valco Melton focuses on inspection systems

Ravi Kiran, business director, Valco Melton, said, “We displayed Valco corrugated systems, clear vision quality inspection system, inspection camera to check glue presence, fold check, bundle check and gap check. We also displayed print registration system.”

Valco’s standard folding carton inspection system, ERO folding carton gluing system, gluing machine for folding carton system and stimulator can integrate both cold glue and electric hotmelt system.

“We developed samples during the exhibition. We displayed our standard hot melt machine for packaging and corrugated applications, and systems for manual gluing,” Kiran added.

The company have more than 35,000 installations globally and 1,000 in India with 600 customers.

“A corrugator needs inspection system for high speed corrugation lines. Otherwise, it’s tough to check if the glue is available is not, or the folding is correct or not. Our system can inspect and eject defected boxes from the line,” Kiran added.

He said while there is a demand of corrugation for sure with slow machines and involvement of manual labour, it’s tough to meet customers’ expectations. “High speed and automatic lines will produce high quality corrugation with fast speed and less manual intervention,” he added.
