Gopsons Papers, International Print–O–Pac, Jayant Printery, Kalajyothi Process, Lovely Offset, Manipal Technologies, MultiVista Global, Nutech Print Services, Replika Press, Repro India and Thomson Press were the selected leading book firms present at the LBF for the panel themed: Discover Indian Bookonomics - Ability, Affordability, Adaptability.

Pramod Khera, executive director of Repro India presented an overview of the Indian book printing industry and the essential focus on boosting the export sales.

"The Indian book print exports are negligible, even to the English speaking countries. This needs to change and the only way of doing this is through increasing interactions between the stake holders", he added. “The Indian book printers are willing to invest in capacities and additional services and are addressing the requirements in the right direction.”

This was followed by a panel discussion of elite international publishers: Random House divisional production director Neil Bradford, HarperCollins operations director David Murray and Baker & Taylor vice president for academic/educational merchandising and digital printing David Hetherington, moderated by Dominic Mills, Redwood Publishing group editor. The panel discussed the trends and the potentials of the Indian book printing industry and the benefits to publishers of offshore book printing.

“Today, publishers face the challenge of distributing content through various media and offer viable solutions/partnerships. The LBF has served as a platform for us to network with buyers and media partners across the globe, unitedly,” Khera added.

The idea for the "Indian Noon" conference was proposed during the inaugural National Book Printer’s Conference (NBPC), which was held at Thiruvanthapuram, India in November 2011.

Concluded today, the LBF had over 400 seminars and events, 1,500 international exhibiting companies and 24,500 publishing professionals.
