Indian printers score big at SGIA

Fortunately or unfortunately, barring one new entrant and a first-time winner, the list is that of regular winners at SGIA Awards – Tarun Printing Works, Classic Stripes, PRS Permacel; and many other bigwig regular winners were missing time.

 

Classic Stripes also won the Best of Show-Graphic award. Tarun Print yet again has won as many as 13 awards. This company has scored over 200 awards till date at both national and international level. As informed by Tejas Shethia of Tarun Printing Works, the company is also diversifying into digital garment printing to keep pace with the market trends and customer needs.

 

On the other hand, a regular award winner at SGIA and FESPA, Classic Stripes has bagged eight awards while PRS Permacel has bagged three awards.

 

The new entrant, Nageen Prakashan, Meerut-based children book and poster publisher has won one Gold under the Fine Art category .

 

According to SGIA communiqué, entries were evaluated and judged during the Expo and top winners were honoured with SGIA's People's Choice Award, Best of Show-Garment, Best of Show-Graphic, Best of Show-Digital, and Best in Show-Digital Creativity. The SGIA release said, hundreds of entries were evaluated by an elite team of imaging professionals, who awarded gold, silver and bronze ribbons to the best prints.
