During the show, the company invited its customers from India and abroad to visit its production facility at Kolhapur for printing trials on the machine.
Pradeep Shah, managing director, Manugraph India, said, “The CI flexo press is being manufactured keeping in mind the requirements of both the Indian as well as the global market. It is being manufactured at our plant in Kolhapur. With our machine building experience of over 45 years, and having successfully absorbed various technologies, Manuflex will incorporate quality standards comparable to the very best global manufacturers and will also have the trustworthiness of a Manugraph product, which has proven testimonies and installations worldwide.”
Manuflex is an eight-colour gearless CI flexo press having a maximum printing speed of 350-m/min and a web width of 1,300-mm. A wide variety of substrates like PE, PP, BOPP, PVC, PET, paper, aluminium, breathable films and paper can be printed on this press. Depending on requirement, Manuflex can also be offered with optional equipment such as inline corona treatment, register control and inspection system, viscosity controller, inline slitting and so on.
Hiten Mehta, president, Multigraph Machinery, the marketing arm of Manugraph, added, “The Indian market has gone from five-six CI flexo printing presses to 20-25 machines a year. With Manuflex, we plan to increase the number considerably.
Mehta said that after being in the industry for over 30 years, he was glad to see that traditional flexo jobs are coming back to where they belong. This, in turn, is only going to increase the demand for quality CI flexo machines. “With Manuflex now being offered from India, customers from the Indian sub-continent will be assured of world class quality and service. We are very happy to present Manuflex and are confident that 2020 we will see a wide footprint of Manuflex machines,” he added.
He added that investing in Manuflex comes with a slew of benefits, including its after-sales services. “There is a dedicated team of Indian engineers fully trained at the Carraro factory in Italy, in building mechanical units, electrical, operations and servicing and maintenance of the press. This gives Indian customers the added advantage of prompt and timely local service support,” Mehta said.
Manugraph India has sold one Manuflex machine to New Delhi-based Osho Industries, which will be installed at its production plant in Roorkee, Uttarakhand.
