Career 2.0 offers an opportunity to women, who have taken a career break, to return to the workplace with challenging and aspirational assignments by providing added flexibility that is needed to maintain work-life balance. Women who have taken a career break of upto two years within the birth of their child are eligible for policy.
Post-maternity enablement policy comes with an objective to boost the return work ratio for women planning to proceed on maternity leave. Women employees who are taking maternity leave or returning from maternity leave are eligible for this policy. Returning mothers will be assigned a buddy 15 days prior to date of resuming and they will have an option to avail upto six counseling sessions by the empanelled expert.
Ashima Roona, vice-president, human resources, Cosmo Films, said, “As a woman I can understand what all women have to face in their professional journeys. Organisations should structure their workplace culture and drive change across the entire employee pipeline to encourage more women to be a part of their workforce. It is very important for all the organisations to be women-friendly and implement such initiatives to support their women workforce.”
Pankaj Poddar, Group CEO, Cosmo Films, said, “Having more women in a workplace does make an organisation a better place to work for all. Women bring in diversity, ideas, soft skills, leadership skills and they can add more life to any organization they work in. Most women have to leave their jobs to take care of their children which leaves them with very less opportunities to rejoin work. Women have to juggle their responsibilities as an employee and as a mother too. As an organisation it is our responsibility to provide such support to women. The need for a policy like this has never been more pressing than now. It is the 1st step towards our mission to create an agile workplace where our female employees are supported and feel a sense of belonging.”
