Ink association’s first awards event on 6 April in Mumbai
All India Printing Ink Manufacturers Association will host its first awards event – the AIPIMA Awards Night, which Vimal Mehra, a key member of the association, said, will acknowledge companies/individuals for their contribution to the Ink industry.

The AIPIMA Awards Night will be held at The Club in Andheri Mumbai, with the event commencing at 7 pm.
The AIPIMA awards event is in line with USA’s NAPIM annual get-together for the ink industry, said Mehra. NAPIM is an association of the ink industry in the USA. “As I was a director on the board of NAPIM from 2001 till 2007, the idea of hosting such a function was put up for the managing committee of AIPIMA, which was accepted, and that’s how the show materialised,” he said.
There will be four awards categories – Excellence award in product development – vendor, Excellence award for SME sector – printing ink, Best Service Award for distributor/agent/trader/
A jury has been constituted to judge the winners in the four categories. The jury will not a part of the managing committee of the association, but learned people having exposure to the ink/supplier industry, said Mehra. “The President of AIPIMA will always be a jurist by default. The LTA award will be decided by the managing committee members by a secret voting.”
To be eligible to apply for the awards, the company or individual has to be a member of the association. So any company, who is not a member of the association neither can vote nor can win an award.
Mehra said, “We aim to create a sense of pride, and a feel-good factor after the show. We promise the night to be eventful and entertaining."
