This follows the Chinese government restricting the access of Indian newspapers and media websites in the country. According to the INS, access to them is uncalled for. Even access through VPN (Virtual Private Network) servers has been blocked.

Gupta on behalf of the INS has also asked the Government to call off collaborations/investments made by Chinese companies in Indian media companies with immediate effect.
