Two bookings for Xerox launch machine, Color C70
Xerox, which used the PrintPack platform to launch its new entry-level mid-production digital press, Color C70, has confirmed two bookings of the kit. The two customers are Jagtap Printing Press in Kolhapur and Hindustan Printers in Surat.
Pankaj Kalra, head for production systems group at Xerox India, said, “The customers opted for the C70 for three reasons. One, the speed of the machine, at an affordable cost. Two, the oversized high-capacity feeder, which offers the customer one or two production paper tray. Three, the saving it offers in terms of power consumption.” According to Kalra, the device saves up to 75% on power consumption.
HGDE UV CTP and BasysPrint UV CTCP in Punjab
Monotech has announced that it has installed two HDGE UV CTP systems in Carrier Computer and Sahil Processor in Jalandhar, Punjab. Monotech has also announced installation of a BasysPrint UV CTCP to Daffodils in Patiala.
Tajinder Singh, general manager for pre-press business at Monotech, said, “Given the digital printing surge, there was a speculation that offset print will become obsolete. However, with the CTP installations we have done, offset does not seem anywhere near extinction.”
Top firms give Baumer a nod
Pune-based Baumer India, a part of Swiss-based Baumer Group has made presence at the show with the X Melt.
In the recent past, the company has had its systems put into service at TCPL, Naph Graphics, Parksons Packaging, Manohar Packaging, Canpac Trends, Surface Graphics, Borkar Packaging, Vijaya Graphics, Acme, Ramco, Sakal Newspaper, NPP Print Pack and Budhraja.
