International Packaging Conclave to focus on safe packaging
As the draft of the new Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Regulation, 2018 is ready and awaiting final notification by the FSSAI, which entails significant changes in the supply chain for packaging of food and beverage, the seventh edition of the International Packaging Conclave, organised concurrently at PackPlus 2018 exhibition, will focus on the subject.

The conclave, titled ‘Safe Packaging: New Regulatory Landscape’ aims to un-pack the implications of the forthcoming new regulations. The daylong event will take place on 27 July 2018 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The International Packaging Conclave is a knowledge-sharing interactive platform for the packaging industry that comes together with PackPlus New Delhi every year. It will aim to clarify the role and responsibilities of the packaging industry towards meeting the new FSSAI regulations.
The conclave will feature deliberations on the details of the new FSSAI packaging regulations followed by a panel discussion among leading brand owner companies with case studies as well as technical presentations by international experts and stakeholders. It will delve deeper into the implications of the new regulations on food packaging. The conclave will provide a global platform for brand owners, convertors, raw material suppliers, packaging technologists and consultants. Experts from the European Union have been specially invited to present their experience and perspective on stringent EU Food Laws.
The last edition of the conclave, held on 4 Aug 2017, which served as an introduction to the need for safe packaging ‘for a better tomorrow’, was attended by more than 175 delegates and invitees consisting of brand owners, major converters and printers, raw material suppliers as well as delegates from FSSAI and other statutory authorities, scientists, media, business owners and packaging industry veterans.
