International Paper launches mobile app for end-users
Usually, there is no point of interaction between a paper mill and the end-customers. If you want to buy your paper, you go to your vendor or your distributor. All this is about to change with Hyderabad-based International Paper introducing a mobile app to help customers make informed purchased decisions.

The IP India App was launched at the International Paper stall during the opening day of Paperex 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 1 November.
“Customers are increasingly adopting online channels to seek information and make purchasing decisions, said Rampraveen Swaminathan, chairman and managing director, International Paper APPM, while speaking to PrintWeek India after the launch. “As part of our continued focus on customer service, the mobile app will provide users with convenient access to information on our products, updates and paper terms in real time and on the go.”
For now, it is an information app, but there are plans to expand the services.
Paper is not just paper. A specific job requires a specific kind of paper. Usually, it is a long process in selecting the right paper for the right job. Swaminathan said the app would make this process easier for the users.
Swaminathan said the best part of the app is a user-friendly paper selector and paper calculator, which enable users to select the best-suited paper for their requirement. The paper calculator enables users to calculate the weight and quantity of paper required for different needs.
The one-of-its-kind initiative, the app offers access to information on all products of International Paper, covering writing, printing and imaging papers, with real time updates on new products and specification. Among other features, the app offers comprehensive search functionality.
The IP India App is available for free download at Apple App Store and Google Play.
