The fundamentals of International Printing Technologies Symposium first originated in the Gazi University Printing Education Department in 2003. The performed symposium aimed at gathering all white and blue-collar workers and academics of printing, press, and packaging industries under one platform to discuss and deliberate.

Following the success of the previous four symposiums, the fifth symposium is being held under the auspices of the Istanbul University, located in a city whose bi-continental landscape and rich history should be another motivation for participants to attend the event.

The opening and first day of the symposium will be held at Istanbul University Rectorate Building and will be proceeded in 22nd International Packaging Industry Fair ‘Eurasia Packaging 2016 Istanbul’ Fair at on its second day.

In consideration of current technological developments, it is clearly a requirement for printing, press and packaging industries to increase connections among other related disciplines. Therefore, the fifth symposium is created under the philosophy of interdisciplinary gathering and conducts its development prominently under the main theme of ‘The interdisciplinary relations/ effects/ places of printing industry.’
