The 'India pavilion' is an initiative by the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) under the funding of the Indian Government to represent the Indian packaging industry on a global platform.
According to NC Saha, director, Indian Institute of Packaging, India has become a global hub for packaging resources. “In order to expand the market further, there is a need to showcase our capabilities in terms of production, technological growth, supply and to open a gateway to the global market. The participation in Interpack 2014 would definitely benefit the targeted group of the Indian packaging raw material suppliers, converters, ancillary material and machinery suppliers for obtaining the better market opportunities,” said Saha.
The India pavilion will feature major Indian exhibitors like Specialty Polyfilms, Nichrome (India), Pakona Engineers, Hindustan Adhesives, and Hindustan Tin Works among others.
The packaging megashow, as the organisers title it, will have 2700 exhibitors from 60 countries exhibiting products ranging from packaging components, feeder systems, dosing and controlling machines, moulding machines etc.
