Interpack 2014 set a new record as the percentage of foreign visitors rose by 66% thereby achieving a top rating across all Messe Düsseldorf events. Visitors from over 120 nations traveled to this packaging fair.

As the curtains drew to close, PrintWeek India visited a few stands to take a stock of what was achieved in past seven days of the event.

In hall 8a, Jigesh Dani of Ahmedabad’s Maharshi Labels was delighted with his company’s performance. The company is a manufacturer of labelling machines. It was fifth Interpack for Maharshi. Dani said, “We had the most successful show this time. We booked an order of complete line of labelling and shrink sleeve line for a German customer Megasol. Other than that we have couple of more orders from UAE and Africa.”

Speaking about the review of Interpack Paul Leibinger’s area sales manager, Hendric Schneider, said, “It has been our experience that customers do not close deals at Interpack. They evaluate technologies during the show and then later touch base for deal confirmations. Even this time, we have seen several serious inquiries that are expected to fructify in subsequent follow-up.”

Another Indian exhibitor, Ace Industries was able to sell the displayed shrink sleeve machine to a Romanian client.

Friedbert Klefenz, president of the Interpack Exhibitors’ Advisory Board 2014 and president of Bosch Packaging Technology, said: “We are very satisfied with the quantity and quality of visitors at our stand. We were equally thrilled by the high number of international visitors and exhibitors – some 75% of the exhibiting enterprises were headquartered outside Germany.”

The next Interpack will happen in spring 2017. The exact dates will be announced at a later stage informed the organisers.
