16 Sep 2011 | By Samir Lukka
One word that describes Ipex South Asia?
Hi-tech digital show.
Which stall did you like and why?
Ricoh. Huge number of machinery on display with new applications.
A print job application you saw at the show - which you can’t get out of your head?
Photo album printed at the HP stall printed on Indigo. I felt I should re-marry my wife and get our own photo album done in that way (chuckles).
Which Indian stall did you like the best?
Autoprint demonst-rating Dion 450.
If we gave you a blank cheque, what would you buy at Ipex South Asia?
It is not on display but HP Indigo WS6000 is the dream machine for me.
If you could be born either a great print technocrat + expert or a very rich print CEO, which one would you choose? You can’t say ‘both’.
A great print technocrat. It would lead to me becoming a rich print CEO and not the other way round.
CMYK or RGB.
CMYK, any day!
Choose: offset or digital?
Complementary to each other.
Something you learnt about for the first time at the show?
The humongous possibility of photo applications.
What is the most interesting post-press operation you saw at the Ipex South Asia show?
Electromec Diamond perfect binder.
A manufacturer at Ipex South Asia, whose factory you would like to visit?
HP factory at Israel.
What’s your idea of a perfect print trade show?
Good mix of technologies.
The next print trade show you are looking forward to?
Of course, Pamex 2011.
