IPPTA to host its 60th annual meeting in Chandigarh
The Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association (IPPTA) is to host the meeting and seminar between 27 February and 1 March 2025 at the Radisson Red, Chandigarh, Mohali.

As per IPPTA, the three day event hopes to facilitate dialogue and discussion about improving the productivity and quality of the pulp and paper industry through emerging AI technology.
As per a press note shared with PrintWeek, “Discussions in Chandigarh will centre around process optimisation and control, including the monitoring of AI and quality control and assurance, energy management, supply chain and inventory management, production scheduling and automation.” The discussions will analyse production data and demand forecasts to optimise scheduling of different production lines, the use of AI to help aid sustainability and waste reduction, tailored AI products for customisation, AI’s predictions being used to reduce downtime and cost reduction.”
The technical committee is chaired by Ashraf Nathani, director of Methali Paper. The programme committee is chaired by Chirag Satia, executive director of Satia Industries. The vice chairman is Sushil Khetan, CEO of Kuantam Papers.
The programme on 27 February is scheduled to commence with a press meet, followed by an authors’ meet, followed by an executive committee meeting, and a presidential dinner for ECM, authors, programme committee members and guests.
On 28 February, the highlight will be a panel discussion, two technical sessions. The evening is set to culminate with a cultural programme. The final day will witness two technical sessions followed by an awards ceremony.
IPPTA is an association of professionals engaged in the pulp, paper, board, newsprint and allied industries in India and internationally.
The event has been supported by the AP Recycled Paper Mills Association. Confederation of Indian Industry, Gujarat Paper Mills Association, Hyderabad Kraft Paper Mills Association, Indian Recycled Paper Mills Association and United Nations Industrial Development Organisation among other organisational bodies.
