Jaipur-based Adhunik relies on Bindwel to make books
Bindwel is the backbone of Indian book printing. With the statement “Seven out of 10 books produced in India have been touched by Bindwel machines, services, or adhesives,” the company celebrated the success of its partners. One such partner is Adhunik Book Binders, a print finishing and binding operation based in Jaipur.

Anand Sharma founded Adhunik Book Binders and has built a reputation as a reliable, quality-focused book production company. With a speciality in government tenders, educational publishing, and children’s books, the press is known for handling both high-volume and high-quality jobs.
Recently, Adhunik invested in two Bindwel machines: the WB@2500 six-clamp perfect binder and the Trident E20. Sharma said, “We chose Bindwel for their quality, service support, and reliability. Their machines are easy to operate, offer high speed, and deliver consistent quality.”
Sharma added, “These features have allowed the team to streamline workflows, accommodate a variety of book sizes and formats, and reduce downtime between jobs.”
Among the many challenging and high-volume projects Adhunik has delivered, one standout was for Hitech Publishers, where the team produced 50,000 softcover books in a single day. The BW@2500 played a crucial role in meeting this ambitious deadline, helping ensure consistent output and top-notch finishing.
Another project was for Sanjiv Prakashan (Jaipur) — a demanding assignment involving five titles and over one-crore books. This project was delivered within an aggressive timeline, reinforcing Adhunik’s reputation as a powerhouse in fast, large-scale production.
As Sharma shared with PrintWeek, the company prides itself on its USP, “Quality and commitments for timely delivery.” This ethos drives every decision, from investment in technology to last-mile delivery of books.
Strategically located in Jaipur, the company caters to publishers across Rajasthan, including key cities such as Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Sikar. With deep roots in the local market, Adhunik has established itself as a go-to finishing partner for a wide range of publishers.
Today, Adhunik operates from a 12,500-sqft facility, with a team of 50 employees working in shifts. The company reports an approximate annual turnover of INR three-crore, driven by a strong mix of educational publishers and private sector clients.
Adhunik Book Binders works with several high-profile clients like Sanjiv Prakashan, Utkarsh Publication, Shiv Book House, Panchsheel Prakashan, Hitech Publishers and Mittsure Technologies.
Sharma said, “We’ve had a very good experience with Welbound and Bindwel machines over the past two decades. They’ve helped us grow our bookbinding business to where it is today.” He stated, “Most of our major equipment is from them, and I recommend Bindwel to any business looking for a dependable, long-term partner.”
Ajay Nagar of Bindwel said, “Adhunik is a longstanding customer of Welbound and Bindwel, with a trusted relationship going back 20 years.” Nagar added, “Over this time, they have built a full-fledged post-press setup comprising all essential bookbinding equipment and three-knife trimmers (TKT) from Bindwel.”
