Andhra Pradesh gets its first Heidelberg CD102 six-colour UV press

The Bobst Expertfold, which was installed in December 2015, is an high-configured kit equipped with Accubraille, Accucheck and four-corner and six-corner gluing device attachment.

According to Karunakar Thiyagaraj of JC Graphics, “We already have two Chinese folder-gluers. The Bobst kit, which runs at 450 metres per minute depending on the size of the cartons, enables us to produce value added jobs such as four and six corner cartons, lock-bottom cartons and F-fluted corrugated cartons. In addition, the automation facilitates quick makeready and reduced wastage, thus has helped us attain higher productivity and efficient output with less manpower utilisation.”

Established in 1990, JC Graphics caters to the packaging requirements of the food, pharma and FMCG companies with marquee names like Godrej, Rickett Benkiser and JK Industries on its roster.

The company has also invested in an H&H window patching machine. The Wen Chyuan and H&H machines will be commissioned by the end of April 2016. With the new additions to its post-press division, the company will double its production capacity from 400 tonnes to 800 tonnes per month.

Karunakar informed that the company has registered a growth of 15% in the last fiscal year. In 2015, the company has been credited with the ISO 12647-2:2013 certification from Heidelberg. The ISO 12647-2:2013 certification specifies the number of process parameters and their values to be applied when producing colour separations, printing forms and print production for four-colour sheetfed and web-fed offset printing presses. This excludes coldset offset lithography on newsprint.
