Jitendra Desai of Navjivan Press is no more
Jitendra Desai, the managing director of Navjivan Trust, which was set up by Mahatma Gandhi, passed away on 21 March.

Jitendra Desai of Navjivan Press is no more
Desai was 73 and was credited for spreading books and literature on and by Mahatma Gandhi across the globe for 52 years.
He graduated from Gujarat Vidyapeeth and completed his diploma in books and periodicals production and a course from the London School of Printing in Elephant and Castle, London.
An expert translator, Desai translated Tolstoy’s stories into Gujarati. He also made efforts to translate the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi and other books written by him in several Indian and international languages.
His condolence meeting will be held on 24 March from 8 am at his resident in Navjivan Blocks.
