Karnataka State Printers Association celebrate their platinum jubilee
Karnataka State Printers Association celebrated its platinum jubilee on 23 September 2016 at Le Meridien, Bangalore.

The celebration was inaugurated by Vajubhai Vala governor of Karnataka, Dibyajyothi Kalita then vice president of All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) was the guest of honour. PGR Sindhia, Katta Subramanya Naidu, former ministers, Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka were also present along with president and past presidents of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association.
The 233rd general council meeting along with 63rd annual general body meeting of AIFMP coincided with the platinum jubilee celebration and was inaugurated by Dr M Veerappa Moily, former union law minister and former chief minister of Karnataka.
In his address Moily is said to have ‘readily agreed to include the printing industry in the manufacturing sector of ministry of MSME. As the chairman of union government finances committee, he agreed to recommend to include the printing industry in manufacturing sector as desired by All India Federation of Master Printers.’
In his vote of thanks, CN Mohan Kumar, honorary secretary of Karnataka State Printers Association lauded Moily on the reformation to equal rights for women in property which according to Kumar ‘has totally changed the dimension of Indian family circle.’
