KBC's one-crore winner attributes success to newspaper
The 19 year old Sahil Ahirwar won one crore rupees along with a Hyundai i20 car on the Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) episode which was telecast on 21 October. During the course of the two episodes (20 and 21 October) Ahirwar pperiodically mentioned that his knowledge mantra is, "reading newspapers regularly".

In addition to updating himself with newspapers, Ahirwar said, "I have always been inclined towards social science, and have been studying hard for my administrative exams. That has really helped me while preparing for KBC. "
Ahirwar shared with Amitabh Bachchan, the host of KBC that he wants to pass the UPSC exams and become an IAS officer.
Sahil Ahirwar is the second crorepati of the KBC season, and he won Rs 1 crore but he quit the game at the jackpot question.
A resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur, the IAS aspirant answered 15 questions asked by host Amitabh Bachchan and won Rs 1 crore. However, he couldn't answer the 16th and final question that could have made him a winner of Rs 7 crore. Without any lifelines at his disposal, he decided to quit the game and take home the prize money of Rs 1 crore.
The Rs 7 crore question on KBC 13 was: Which is the only bird with a digestive system that ferments vegetation as a bovine does, which enables it to eat leaves and buds exclusively?
And the four options were: (a) Shoebill stork, (b) Hoatzin, (c) Shoveler, and (d) Galapagos cormorant.
