According to Kodak, the global flexo innovation awards are aimed to recognise “innovative, game-changing packaging, and emphasise creativity at its best”.
“The global flexo innovation awards are designed to honour companies who, through their commitment to the usage of Flexcel NX plates, have played a significant part in the spectacular rise of flexographic printing over the last ten years,” said Chris Payne, president, flexographic division and vice president of Kodak.
The awards will consist of an independent panel of judges chaired by Pier Luigi Sassanelli, including marquee names such as Philippe Roulet, Sebastian Longo, Bernhard Stradner, Chris Horton, Ken McGuire and Jean-Paul Duque.
“The awards are a celebration of the journey we are on, as they clearly demonstrate the Flexcel NX technology’s potential to help users gain additional business opportunities by further improving efficiency, quality and sustainability to continue to fuel the industry’s transformation and raise the flexo standards,” added Payne.
The Kodak awards will be aimed to honour packaging that produces quality and convinces with excellence in innovation in at least two of the categories amongst creative graphic design, print processes conversion, print production workflow efficiency and commitment to sustainable print.
The global flexo innovation awards will be presented to the respective winners in early 2019.
