The Flexcel NX systems in India are operating at Parikh Agro (Kurkumbh), Pinmark (in Ahmedabad with a wide format system 42inches x 60inches), Bwin Digiflex (Baddi which caters to a sizeable proportion of the pharma market), etc.

The Flexcel according to Abraham Prabhakar benefits Indian firms whose focus were mainly on packaging with foils, cartons, aluminum, etc, plus those firms who are adding more printing on its paper for the secondary packaging market, including corrugated. He added, "The Flexcel NX system has proven to be very stable and very fast."

The Flexcel NX system and Prinergy Powerpack software enables prepress and production of digital flexo plates, thermal offset plates, and DITR films for analogue flexo plates.

Abraham Prabhakar, said, “The award winning Kodak Flexcel NX digital flexographic system uses the thermal imaging layer in conjunction with flexo plates. This layer is exposed on a Trendsetter NX imager with Kodak Squarespot imaging technology. After imaging, it is laminated to a Kodak Flexcel NX digital flexographic plate using the Kodak Flexcel NX laminator. The quick and simple lamination process removes all oxygen between the layer and the plate, and results in the creation of high-quality, full amplitude, flat-top dots.”

In addition to the Flexcel NX, Abraham Prabhakar shared information about Kodak's crown jewel, which is Prinergy. The Prinery Connect has "more than hundred installs".

Abraham Prabhakar, said, "This is a workflow software product, a product that publishing houses and print shops, they use it to manage their solutions kind of end-to-end. It works in both the offset and the workflow productions. It works with colour management, file optimisation and position, automation." Kodak has sold 60,000 licenses since 1999. One of the recent most being The Trendsetter (four-up) bundled with a Prinergy at
Coimbatore's HiTech System.

Abraham Prabhakar was proud that "the Prinergy software works in all kinds of environments. This is a big advantage for us."
