Kaku Kohli, CEO, Kohli Industries, said, “We are happy and overwhelmed by the industry responses for our in-person open house after two years. We had planned the open house for five days but on our customers’ request, we had to start on 18th July and the open house went on for seven days instead of five days.”
He added that as some of the customers couldn’t attend the earlier event for different reasons, the company decided to extend the open house for two more days on 9 and 10 August 2022.
At the event, Kohli showcased four live machines — Thea-9one8 rotogravure press; Gaia-405 solventless laminator; Zeus-630 slitter-rewinder and Eos-630 reversible inspection winder.
The open house was attended by over 150 customers from eight countries. This is the first time Thea-9one8 was showcased up close and in-person, after it was shown in various virtual open houses held by Kohli Industries in 2020 and 2021.
In addition, 45 students and five professors from two printing technology institutes received a personal walk-through of all four machines, followed by a question-answer session on the printing industry with Kaku Kohli.
Kohli Industries has completed 50 years of its establishment this year.
In another development, the fourth-generation of the family-owned business, Armaan Kohli has joined the company after his studies from Chicago.
Up next, the company is focusing on the forthcoming K Exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany (19-26 October) where it will showcase Plutus-9one8, a new multi-process and multi-technology coating and lamination machine live.
